Shenandoah District Courts Building

Shenandoah County, Woodstock, Virginia

Situated on an eight-acre site, this two-story, two-courtroom building houses the county’s general district court, juvenile and domestic relations court, commonwealth’s attorney and juvenile probation offices, and support spaces.  Focused on providing a safe and comfortable facility for staff and public, the project is LEED Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.  Notable high performance design features include pervious pavement and a geothermal, closed loop, water source heat pump system, which provides significant energy savings over a standard heating and cooling system.
